Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Consultant with 6- 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network environments.
The selected candidate will work closely with Australian/African customers, providing high-level technical expertise, consulting, and support across Cisco-based infrastructure environments.
This role requires strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage directly with customer stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support complex Cisco network infrastructures
- Provide L3-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Work directly with Australian / African customers to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions
- Perform network assessments, audits, and optimization recommendations
- Configure and support:
- Cisco Routing & Switching (Catalyst, Nexus)
- Cisco Firewalls (ASA / Firepower)
- Cisco Wireless (WLC, Access Points)
- VPN & Remote Access Solutions
- Participate in network migrations, upgrades, and transformation projects
- Ensure high availability, security, and performance of network systems
- Create technical documentation and solution design documents
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers when required
Technical Skills Required:
- Strong expertise in:
- Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- VLANs, STP, HSRP, VRRP
- Network Security Concepts
- VPN Technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower / ASA
- Experience with Cisco DNA / SD-WAN (preferred)
- Good understanding of network monitoring tools
- Experience in enterprise or managed services environments
Certifications (Preferred):
- CCNP (Mandatory or strongly preferred)
- CCIE (Highly desirable)
- Cisco Security Certifications (Advantage)
Soft Skills & Other Requirements:
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Experience working with international clients
- Flexible to align with Australian/UK business hours
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
